NAP26-Non-Drug Audio Sleep System Review

I have been using the PowrNap machine at least twice a week for the last year and it is wonderful!I am very busy and travel a few times a month and simply do not get enough sleep or have enough time to take a nap.With the PowrNap I can always fit in 20 minutes - on the plane, at home and even at work.I don't always fall asleep, but it is always totally relaxing and rejuvenates me for the rest of the day.I have even gone to the powrnap instead of an energy drink.I would highly recommend this product.

SPO Medical 903036 Check Mate Pulse Oximeter Review

I am a physician. I use the portable handy small tools to help me get an idea understanding that this one was not approved for medical use.
I am comparing this one to Nonnin's portable pulse oximeter which I had for 2 years and this one does not even come close in its accuracy. In many instances, it was off by 10 points! I confirmed this with actual measurement of arterial blood gases.
I was tempted with the price and the battery life but what's the use if you can't trust the reading?
My advice to you. if you want portable pulse oximeter that you can trust get Nonnin.

Sigma PC-15 Sport Pulse Computer/ Watch " Black Review

I've used this watch for over 3 years, and it still works pretty good. Of course it ran out of batteries quickly, but it is logic since it does not have an on/off switch in the strap, not the same case for the watch, where if not used as a heart monitor it will last almost for a year.

In all the time, I've been using it (as a heart monitor and regular watch) I can say that it does not have become "rusty" since this model is all plastic made. It has a very good "o" rings in the battery's door, so I have never had a problem with moisture, even though I have used it while swimming in pools and in the open ocean (just the watch).

I was surprised with the two bad reviews. I think they had bad luck, and one of the reviewers is referencing to a different watch.

So IMHO I will recommend this watch and definitively will buy it again when mine fails... if it ever happens.

Polar WearLink Coded Transmitter Review

The big advantage of a Polar transmitter is that, with or without the wrist receiver, it communicates with a lot of exercise equipment that is fitted with Polar telemetry - when you wear the strap, you don't need to hold the sensor grips for a heart rate reading. I got my transmitter to take the place of my S210 monitor and strap which are off on warranty repair (another story). I took it down to the local Gold's Gym this morning, and it seemed to work just fine on the Life Cycle. I am perfectly satisfied with it, but I caution others: The WearLink 31 apparently comes in two sizes: "XS - S" and "M-XXL". My lower chest, where the strap fits, measures 36" - I'm not exactly a big man - and yet I had to extend the strap of my "M-XXL" a full 80%. A truly "extra large" man would be out of luck. Be careful!

Timex Easy Trainer Heart Rate Monitor Review

I purchased this monitor a couple months ago at Amazon because one can change the batteries. I have owned three monitors previously and you had to send them off to get the batteries changed. This is a great watch. However, it isn't worth a plug nickel as far as the HBR monitor. After several attempts at trying to switch to the monitor mode you might get the monitor to start but most of the time you won't. Once it does switch to the monitor mode it only lasts for a few minutes and then you're back on the watch mode. Many times it has shown my HBR to be as low as 30 bpm. When I take my pulse it is actually 60 bpm. Very aggravating piece of work. I will be looking to purchase another monitor. Hopefully, the next one will work.

Polar F11 Heart Rate Monitor with Custom Exercise Program Review

The F11 is full of features, but it's hard to say how useful they all are.This is my second Polar product, and I am very pleased with it overall, however it is a bit more complicated than it should be at times.My first time using it, I was able to get my heart rate reading, but it didn't save the data.Now, I think I have the hang of it, and have figured out how to use the heart rate monitor, and have it save my data at the end of a session.It's great because it tells me how many calories I've burned based on my heart rate and my weight (I think that's how they get their number, but I'm not positive).I'm not sold on the fitness programs that are included in the watch though, as none of them include programs for more than 5 hours of training per week.

Nonin GO2 Achieve FingerTip Pulse Oximeter SandStone Orange Review

I did a lot of research between brands before ordering this item.Ultimately the deciding factor for me was the company's website.I found that there is a medical grade of this item requiring a prescription - and it is the same item.The specifications for the two are listed side-by-side - and even the price is the same; the only difference is this one does not require a prescription.The medical grade meters must meet FDA tests - so this one obviously does, as well.

I like the continuous readout.From the pictures I was not quite certain what to expect in the readouts or performance - I didn't feel the descriptive information was precise on this.The readouts are for pulse rate, blood oxygen level, and a scale that, literally, shows your pulse and the strength of your pulse.This enables you to know if you are getting a strong enough pulse to get a good reading.

After first putting the unit on, I did some moving around, sitting still, and various things to change my activity level.The pulse rates changed accordingly and there were some variances in the oxygen level, as would be expected.Though I have just quite smoking (mostly) I did light up and had a few quick drags to see what effect this would have (lower oxygen at first, then catching back up almost to not-smoking level).

I'm impressed with the unit.It will operate economically on AAA batteries.If I end up using it a lot, I'll probably go to rechargeables for it.

While this one was a few dollars more than some of the alternatives, I felt it would be the most reliable from the research I did.After receiving it, I am extremely pleased with the way it works.I would highly recommend it.
