I am a physician. I use the portable handy small tools to help me get an idea understanding that this one was not approved for medical use.I am comparing this one to Nonnin's portable pulse oximeter which I had for 2 years and this one does not even come close in its accuracy. In many instances, it was off by 10 points! I confirmed this with actual measurement of arterial blood gases.
I was tempted with the price and the battery life but what's the use if you can't trust the reading?
My advice to you. if you want portable pulse oximeter that you can trust get Nonnin.
