Omron HJ-151 Hip Pedometer for Aerobic Activity Review

Omron HJ-151 Hip Pedometer for Aerobic ActivityThis is the best pedometer that I have owned and yes I have had 4 of them...I reviewed many and am very happy with this purchase!!! It keeps accurate information for review for 7 days and does break down regular to moderate steps taken, miles and time...so if you walk, it keeps an accurate record...if you jog or speed walk, it keeps that accurate under moderate steps...It is not bulky, the clip holds tightly (even when you jog or speed walk) and it is very easy to read the numbers...What an easy set up also with the instuctions provided! I would highly recommend this one!!With my Amazon Prime membership, shipping was free and it came in 2 days!

Product Description:
Omron's HJ-151 Hip Pedometer is a great motivational tool to track your steps as you walk your way through the day, and towards greater fitness. The small device's simple operation is perfect for walking beginners, and it's a great tool to help you achieve a healthier, more active lifestyle. Whether your goal is to maintain or improve overall health, lose weight or get more energy in your daily life, physical activity is essential to staying healthy. At least 30 minutes of moderate exercise is recommended each day, and the HJ-151 pedometer separately displays the steps and minutes walked at a moderate pace. It also calculates calories burned and the distance traveled.
The sleek and small HJ-151 simply clips to your belt before you head out for a walk. Or, wear it throughout your busy day to find out just how much walking you're doing in a typical day of work, errands, and play. Note that the HJ-151 must be positioned correctly; it must be horizontal to the ground in order for the unit to function accurately. The device counts your steps and then saves the information for up to seven days, letting you review a full week of exercise. The HJ-151 resets its internal step counter at midnight automatically so it's ready to go every morning. An easy-to-read large display also features a clock so you've always got a timepiece at your side.
The HJ-151 is powered by a replaceable lithium battery (CR2032) that will last approximately one year when used for walking 10,000 steps a day.

Sportline Model 330 Step Count Pedometer Review

Sportline Model 330 Step Count PedometerThese gadgets are great motivational devices and deserve most of the credit for my taking several long walks each week.I started with the fairly pricey Digi-Walker but soon broke the non-spring clip and ended up orderingtwo more at premium prices. Then I discovered Omrons and Boston Scientifics, but they struck me as overly touchy, not particularly accurate, and overloaded with bells and whistles. The goal is to reach 10,000 steps--not to time yourself, count your calories, take your pulse, and keep monthly medical records. The more complicated you make the device, the less likely you are to use it.Observing that I was using and breaking pedometers, my family started giving me deluxe models from Sharper Image and Brookstone for Christmas and birthdays--some had built-in radios and others played canned, silly melodies to match my stride. After a single walk, I was usually tired of them.

Even though most of the aforementioned pedometers were 3-4 times more expensive than this Sportline Step Counter, they soon went into a desk drawer and became mere collectors' items. The Sportline, on the other hand, has seen a lot of use.It has a strong spring clip and is quite durable and accurate. It may not be very smart, but it can count.

Omron Hip Aerobic Pedometer Review

Omron Hip Aerobic PedometerI LOVE this pedometer!Had two cheaper ones before I purchased this one and threw them both out. This pedometer is sturdy and accurate. It keeps track of the last seven days of activity, calories, moderate steps. It even knows the date and time, and resets itself automatically every day. It has yet to fall off like the cheaper brands. For the money, I'd highly recommend this one.

ACCUSPLIT Eagle AE1690 Steps, Distance and Calories PedometerACCUSPLIT Eagle AE1690 Steps, Distance and Calories Pedometer was difficult to set, hard to clip on (too tight) and although I followed directions, the step count and calorie count seems very low compared to a less expensive one I owned earlier.I work out and lose weight, but the ACCUSPLIT count of steps and calories shows a low value in spite of extensive workouts.

Accusplit AE190XLG Goal Setting Pedometer Review

Accusplit AE190XLG Goal Setting PedometerIf you are an athlete and really need to keep track of all this. Then maybe consider it. It is way to complicated and hard to program to be convenient And I consider myself a gadget geek. It never seem to give the same reading twice when I was programing my steps.I used it a couple of days and put it in a drawer. I wasted my money I should have just got something that measured my steps easily.

Product Description:
Accusplit's top-of-the-line goal-tracking pedometer, the AD190XLG offers everything you need to measure your progress and track your fitness goals. HJ-105 Digital Pedometer Review

HJ-105 Digital PedometerAfter using the Oregon Scientific pedometer with pulse meter (disaster - clip broke in 90 days, unit rendered useless) - I decided to go for a more utilitarian unit. Other than the batteries' demise, this unit has been quite usefull. The clip is stronger than my previous model; and testing with a 1 mile tracks shows the unit is off about 2.5%, which is not bad.
While a little sparse on features, it gives you what you basically need; # of steps; distance; # of calories expended. If you are looking for basic, good value, this could be your winner.
