My watch works just fine. I don't give it 5 stars simply because1. it's not particularly attractive like the more expensive TQR 775 analog model.
2. it can't do anything fancy such as show me an average hr for my workout.
The instructions recommend you take your hr before exercise, during warmup, during exercise, and during cool down. I'm going to track my resting HR and my recovery rate during cool down.
It also has a calorie calculator based on the current heart rate. I don't know if it assumes a certain body weight as the instructions don't mention anything about this topic. It also shows a % of max HR figure next to the HR figure, based on the age you enter.
Bottom line:
Overall, it's a good product that does what it's supposed to do - with NO annoying chest belt and one button to push for only a few seconds for a reading, even while moving. It also has some standard watch features like time, alarm, date, chronograph, and countdown timer, and looks like an ordinary digital watch. Very affordable and useful for tracking times, calories, and HR. I would recommend it.
