I needed a relatively inexpensive heart rate monitor (hrm) that was good at...capturing my hr. I've used this running, swimming, and biking. The hrm was easy to set up (time, date, etc.) and the display is easy to read. The one button interface is good. I can easily start the monitor with just one touch and it picks up the strap quickly (usually within 10 seconds). I have another Polar hrm and have noticed on both the back of the strap that sits against your body needs to be wet, otherwise, the watch won't pick it up quickly, if at all. There are other functions on this monitor, but I haven't used them yet.I recommend this to anyone on a budget. Good for beginning/intermediate triathletes.
