SpectraGel 360 - Electrode Gel - 60ml/2 fl oz. Review

SpectraGel 360 - Electrode Gel - 60ml/2 fl oz.I'd like to confess to being a complete do-do-bird, and I will only share this in case it saves someone else from embarrassment.Do you know where the actual electrode thingy is, in a heart rate monitor, that senses your heart beat?Of course I always thought it was the big thick flat area in the center of the strap.I always thought it was such a dumb design, because that hard thick piece rarely lies flat across any part of one's chest where there's a heartbeat. So I kept twisting the heart rate strap around trying to get that thing positioned on some fleshy part of my body, and it just didn't work.Well, dear reader, you probably knew all along that the sensors are located in the two long flexible parts of the strap (or the fabric part, in some monitors), where it wraps around the front of your ribs to your side, clamped firmly to your skin.So that's why I never got a strong signal!

I'm not sure if it's this electrode gel, or simply the discovery of the proper positioning of the strap, but now I am getting a strong signal right off the bat, every time. The gel certainly seems to work well.
