I originally purchased a Nike Heart Monitor with the chest strap.I ended up returning that product.I found it to work well, but I was growing tired of always wearing the strap.Additionally, I have come to the conclusion that I do not need to know my heart rate every dying second of a workout. I call that "overkill" If that is what you want then a chest strap model is your only option. This product is a great alternative to that kind of set up and it works very good.Not perfect, as I find that sometimes its does not get a read immediately.I find it to be be fairly accurate as I compare it to a 10 second manual pulse count.It more than does its job in setting my direction and pace during my workouts.It also makes a great casual watch with a fully functional stop watch and alarm.Overall, I give the product 4 stars and I do recommend.I got a great deal on this as I believe I caught this on a one day special.I would still pay the current price and not feel cheated.
